These terms apply to your use of this website. They are not the agreement under which we provide the platform to a medical practice.

That relationship is governed by a signed master services agreement and a business associate agreement between ITAS Health and the practice. Where anything on this website conflicts with an executed agreement, the executed agreement controls. Nothing here creates a contract to provide services, and no page on this site is an offer capable of acceptance.

We write a lot about federal billing rules on this site because we think a practice deserves to check our reasoning. That writing is published analysis, not advice.

Nothing on this website is legal, regulatory, compliance, coding, billing, tax, or medical advice, and reading it creates no professional relationship of any kind. Do not make a billing decision, a coding decision, or a clinical decision on the basis of a page here. Rules change, they are applied differently by locality and by payer, and your circumstances differ from the ones we describe. Consult your own counsel, your own coding professional, and your own clinical judgment.

Dollar amounts on this site, including anything produced by the revenue calculator, are illustrative models built on published national average rates. They are not a prediction of your revenue and not a representation that any particular amount will be paid.

Actual payment varies with your locality, the payment level a patient falls into, transmission days, documented clinical time, patient cost-sharing, payer coverage, and whether a given patient-month satisfied every applicable requirement. Any figure you enter into the calculator produces an output only as good as your input, and the assumptions behind our own examples are stated wherever we use them so you can disagree with them.

You may read this site, quote it with attribution, and share it. Please do not attempt to breach or probe its security without contacting us first, interfere with its availability, scrape it in a way that degrades it for others, or misrepresent your identity in correspondence with us.

If you have found a vulnerability, we would genuinely like to hear about it. Write to security@itas.health. We will confirm receipt, keep you posted while we fix it, and we will not threaten you for telling us.

The text, design, and code of this site belong to ITAS Health except where noted. The ITAS Health name and mark are ours.

Statutes, regulations, fee schedule data, and code descriptors referenced here are published by their respective authorities, and citing them implies no endorsement of us by any government agency or payer. We are not affiliated with the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services, and any third-party product name that appears is the property of its owner.

This website is provided as-is. We work to keep it accurate and current — it discusses rules that change, and we date our writing for that reason — but we do not warrant that every page is complete, error-free, or up to date at the moment you read it, nor that the site will be uninterrupted. To the fullest extent the law allows, we disclaim implied warranties in respect of the website itself. Warranties and remedies concerning the platform are set out in the executed services agreement, not here.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, ITAS Health is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of this website, or for any decision made in reliance on content published here. Liability arising under a services agreement is governed by the limitations negotiated in that agreement. Nothing in this section limits liability that cannot be limited by law.

Where we name or link to material published by an agency, a payer, or anyone else, we do so as a reference so you can check us — not as an endorsement, and not as a claim of affiliation. We do not control third-party material and are not responsible for its content, accuracy, or availability.

We may update these terms, and the date at the top will change when we do. Continuing to use the site after an update means the updated terms apply to that use.
